Hi Everyone!

 

Formal Greeting: 

I am John Klinger, leader of the Outer Rim Squadron.

I organize and encourage events where we can don our armor or robes and entertain the general public, through science fiction conventions, charity appearances, parades, etc.

Most of the events I plan are in the Okanagan and Vancouver. If anyone has an event they would like some Star Wars costumers to attend, they usually contact myself, and I pass it along to see who can make it. However, our numbers in BC are few and scattered all over the province, hence my goals.

My goals are

To encourage recruitment throughout BC, as the more members we can acquire the better our appearance at events, and the more diverse the types of events we can appear at.

To have fun, meet new people, share costume tips, participate in a common interest, and make our local community aware of our presence and recognize us as a positive group within and for the community.

Feel free to let me know if I'm doing ok or where we can use improvment. I can take criticisim as long as you can provide a positive answer to my lacking. I am open to new ideas. Remember, I have only disintegrated one critic so far =)

August: Penticton Peach Festival Parade, Penticton, B.C.

August: PNE Parade, Vancouver, BC.

October: VCon, Vancouver, BC.

October: Victoria Comic Convention, Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC.

November: Sidney Sparkles Parade, Sidney, Vancouver Island, BC. Joint event with the Rebel Legion.
